A great article about orthodontic treatment at a young age, from Dr. Ginsberg

The world around us is always changing and evolving, which is why it's important that your orthodontist is informed on the latest research. Dr. Ginsberg recently found this great radio segment and article by NPR, discussing the latest research on the best age to begin orthodontic treatment, which he would like to share with all of our patients.

Did you know that the American Association of Orthodontics recommends that your child be evaluated by age seven? Early detection of some orthodontic problems is important in order to take early corrective action and avoid more difficult treatment later. For many patients, however, Dr. Ginsberg recommends treatment during adolescence between the ages of 10-12. There are often benefits for deferring orthodontic treatment, although it is best to evaluate patients on a case by case basis.

For more information on the best age to begin your orthodontic treatment, give us a call today. We look forward to seeing you!
