Dr. Ginsberg discusses: "Thick or Thin Veneers?"

A few advantages of ceramic veneers
-No anesthesia is required
-Less patient fear
-Patients' appreciation of conservative tooth preparations
-Possibility of reversal

A few disadvantages of no-preparation Ceramic Veneers
-Overcontoured appearance
-Possible need for more veneers
-Opaque, monotone appearance
-Limited translucence
-Margins not visible to the technician
-Possible overcontouring of margins
-Possible inadvertent alteration of occlusion
